Job description:
The National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) [1] invites applications for a 3-year postdoctoral position to conduct particle physics research within the LHCb experiment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, developing software for phenomenology, and contribute to tasks essential for the operation and advancement of the experiment. Active participation in international meetings and workshops is expected. The main focus of our research is to test CP symmetry by using baryons as probes. It is funded within NCN project "Tests of fundamental symmetries using polarized baryons"
Requirements
Applicants must hold a PhD degree and have solid experience in experimental particle physics and in particular, experience with data analysis. Prior experience in the LHCb experiment is preferred.
Other requirements include strong knowledge of particle physics and programming, excellent oral and written communication skills in English, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an international team.
About the employment
Starting date, summer 2025 or as agreed. The employment is a three-year position. The successful candidate will be hired under a full-time employment contract with a competitive salary. Scope of employment 100 %.
About Research Group
The core research team is based in both Warsaw and Uppsala, working as part of the LHCb and BESIII collaborations. The employment is funded by OPUS27 [2]. You will collaborate with a PhD student (BESIII), two senior researchers, and Professor Andrzej Kupsc.
