Job description:
We are looking for a candidate to conduct PhD research with the CMS experiment at the Laboratoire Leprince-Ringuet of the École Polytechnique, near Paris, France. The group specializes in measurements of jets and their modification (quenching) in the quark-gluon plasma created in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC. We are also involved in detector development for the electron-ion collider being constructed at Brookhaven Lab.

Candidates should hold a masters degree in high-energy physics. Coding experience is a plus. Frequent travel to CERN will be required. The contract must start in the fall of 2025. The salary will be in accordance with French national standards.  The application should include a CV, transcripts from the masters program, a short statement of research interests, as well as at least two letters of recommendation. The position will be open until filled.
