Job description:
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in experimental particle physics, focusing on research within the CMS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider.
The CMS groups at UZH are actively involved in data analysis, software development, and detector operations. Our research interests include precision studies of the Standard Model and direct searches for physics beyond it. In addition, we are engaged in upgrading the CMS pixel detector for the Phase-II High Luminosity LHC program.
The position is initially limited to three years, with the possibility of extension. Applicants must hold a PhD in physics (obtained within the past eight years) and have substantial experience in experimental particle physics. Strong software development skills and demonstrated experience with machine learning techniques are highly desirable.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, research statement, and publication list, and arrange three letters of reference to be uploaded at https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/29873
To ensure full consideration, all materials should be received by May 1, 2025. Complete applications will be reviewed immediately, and they will be considered until the position is filled.
