Abstract: (Elsevier)

Because of broken chiral invariance the model of Wess and Zumino obeys additional Ward identities. Together with supergauge Ward identities they imply the results of Iliopoulos and Zumino that a single wave function renormalization is sufficient to renormalize the theory.
