Abstract: (Elsevier)
A recent analysis of the electromagnetic nucleon form factors has yielded reliable values of the vector coupling constants g 1 ( ω NN), g 1 ( ø NN). These, together with g 1 ( ϱ NN), turn out to be compatible with SU(3), if a pure F-type coupling and an almost ideal mixing angle are assumed. The fairly large ratio g 1 (ø NN ) g 1 (ø NN ) ≈ −0.4 is almost entirely due to the coupling of ss to the nucleon and therefore indicates a strong violation of Zweig's rule. One of the largest structures in the nucleon spectral function occurs at the mass of a particle ϱ′(1250) which is not yet well-established and of which nonet partners are not known.- NUCLEON: FORM FACTOR
