Abstract: (Elsevier)
The construction and performance of two uniformly graded electric field drift chambers are described. A test chamber, 260×260 mm 2 , and the prototype chamber, 2.9×3.5 m 2 both have a drift space length of 60 mm and a gap width of 15 mm. The self-supporting cathode planes are constructed from lightweight honeycomb panels and consist of 3 mm copper strips on a 6 mm pitch.- DRIFT CHAMBER: EFFICIENCY
