Abstract: (Elsevier)
We study the mass and width of the lowest lying scalar glueball with the help of the ITEP sum rules. The standard value of the gluon condensate leads to very broad structures, which one could hardly call a resonance. We also claim that it is difficult to understand the alleged flavour symmetry of the decay modes of glueballs in the framework of field theory. All this will make the search for gluonia very difficult.- GLUEBALL: SCALAR MESON
