Abstract: (APS)
The observed transverse-momentum distribution of high-mass muon pairs is explained by a proton core of valence quarks of rms radius 0.20 ± 0.03 F. Large-angle, high-energy proton-proton elastic scattering independently determines the core radius to be 0.23 ± 0.03 F.- INTERPRETATION OF EXPERIMENTS
