Abstract: (Springer)
In this paper, we have studied the Einstein-Rosen space time in f(R,T)f(R,T) gravity by considering the second model of Harko et al. (Phys. Rev. D 84:024020, 2011), f(R,T)=f1(R)+f2(T)f(R,T) = f_{1}(R)+f_{2}(T) , where f1(R)=λRf_{1}(R)=\lambda R , f2(T)=λTf_{2}(T)=\lambda T and f1(R)=λRf_{1}(R)=\lambda R , f2(T)=λT2f_{2}(T)=\lambda T^{2} . The matter field is considered in the form of perfect fluid. It is observed that, the perfect fluid represent the Zel’dovich universe in both the forms.
