Abstract:
We propose to do a "prompt" neutrino search experiment at Fermilab using the existing E-253 apparatus with minor additions. Using the 0- decay as a guide to demonstrate the experimental feasibility, we believe that the proposed experiment is worthwhile pursuing. We request a 1013 running time of 1,000 hours at 400 GeV, protons/pulse, and a beam dump angle greater than 20 mr.Note:
