Abstract: (Elsevier)

The effect of form factors on the Coulomb phase angle in elastic high-energy scattering of charged particles is discussed. The influence of the angular dependence of the strong interaction part on the phase is included. Essentially the non-relativistic result of Bethe turns out to be correct.
