Giant resonances in 90 Zr and 120 Sn have been studied using inelastic scattering of 200 MeV protons. The isovector giant dipole and isoscalar giant quadrupole and giant octupole (L=3,3 h ̵ ω) resonances are clearly observed. An upper limit of ≈5% is placed on the 2ħω hexadecapole resonance peak. For 90 Zr peak is observed which is consistent with recently reported M1 strength.
