Abstract:

Diffraction 2016, International Workshop on Diffraction in High-Energy Physics, was the ninth meeting in the series of biennial diffraction workshops. The meeting was attended by 89 participants from 20 different countries, many of them Ph.D. students and young post-docs. Talks given during the workshop covered recent theoretical and experimental progress in diffractive hadronic collisions at high energies. The main topics were diffraction in electron-proton, in hadron-hadron, and in heavy ion collisions; forward physics at the hadron colliders; low-x physics at the LHC; perturbative QCD; and spin physics. Most of the contributions presented during the workshop are summarized in this volume.
