Abstract: (WSP)
After the results of Run I, can we still “guarantee” the discovery of supersymmetry at the LHC? It is shown that viable dark matter candidates in CMSSM-like models tend to lie in strips (coannihilation, funnel, focus point) in parameter space. The role of grand unification in constructing supersymmetric models is discussed and it is argued that nonsupersymmetric GUTs such as SO(10) may provide alternative solutions to many of the standard problems addressed by supersymmetry.- Dark matter
