Abstract: (APS)
Expectation values of the specific heat and of Wilson loops are presented for compact U(1) gauge theory on 44, 54, and 64 lattices, calculated by averages over up to 7500 iterations through the lattice generated by Monte Carlo methods. The calculations show clear evidence for a single second-order phase transition.- LATTICE FIELD THEORY
