Abstract: (Elsevier)
The energy of three static widely separated quarks in a colour singlet state is computed by studying the large area behaviour of different baryon loops in continuum QCD. With the help of a sum rule like approach the corresponding string tensions are obtained in terms of the vacuum condensates. They can be interpreted as due to effective quark-quark forces of half the strength of the quark-antiquark forces, at least.- QUANTUM CHROMODYNAMICS: STRING TENSION
