Abstract: (Elsevier)

The pion photoproduction reactions induced in the few body systems are reviewed. The pion multiple scattering series has been summed explicitly and relevant experiments have been carried out to study the nearby singularities. The deviations from the multiple scattering series might be the signature of a more genuine NΔ interaction: an attempt to define it, in a way which fulfills the three body unitarity, is given.
