Abstract: (Elsevier)
The “Brussels On-Line system” is a set of computer-assisted bubble chamber film measuring devices, including two optical readers, six film-plane digitizers and four image-plane digitizers, controlled by a DEC system-10, two PDP-11s and a PDP-8. These devices have been used over the last decade for the analysis of giant bubble chamber film. Some comments are presented on the successes and pitfalls of this system; present and future developments are outlined.
