Abstract: (APS)
We derive a set of invariant quantities in fermion-mass matrices, independent of one's weak-eigenstate basis, the vanishing of which is both necessary and sufficient for CP invariance. Our method is applied to the standard single-Higgs-doublet SU(2) ⊗ U(1) model with an arbitrary number of fermion generations.
