Abstract: (APS)

We find that a recent experimental determination of the electric polarizability of the deuteron does not yield any new information on the nucleon-nucleon interaction. Theoretical values for the central and tensor components of the polarizability are presented. NUCLEAR STRUCTURE d; calculated electric polarizability.
