Abstract: (APS)
Recent data for the η meson, together with the ρ-dominance assumption for the η→π+π−π0 amplitude, are used to estimate the mass-matrix element accounting for the η−π mixing, mηπ2=−(4.2±1.0)×10−3 GeV2. From this value one easily obtains r−≡(md−mu)2ms=0.013±0.003, where mq are current-quark masses and r− measures the SU(2)- compared to SU(3)-symmetry breaking.- ETA: HADRONIC DECAY
