Abstract: (Elsevier)
We calculate the four basic parameters relevant for B 0 − B 0 mixing and CP violation (x = ΔM Γ , y = ΔΓ 2Γ , η = (1 − ε B ) (1 + ε B ) , and sin 2 ϕ of Carter and Sanda) as functions of m t , τ B and R (the top quark mass, the B-meson lifetime and Γ( b → u Γ( b → c ) respectively. We give also predictions for various quantities which exhibit B 0 − B 0 mixing and CP violation. Many of these quantities are sensitive functions of m t , τ B , R and of the “bag” parameter B . We find that certain charge asymmetries in on-shell B d decays are sizeable. Also the same-sign dilepton production resulting from B s 0 − B s 0 mixing turns out to be substantial.- B0 anti-B0: mixing
