Abstract: (APS)
An SO(10) model proposed previously is modified so as to allow for a legitimate fermion mass spectrum consistent with a low-mass Z2. This drastically changes the neutral-current phenomenology of the original theory. The modified model reproduces more of the low-energy phenomenology of the standard model. All axial-vector-type neutral-current couplings at q2=0 are identical to those in the standard model. The coupling of Z2 to uu¯ is enhanced, making it easier to detect the Z2 in pp and p¯p colliders.- MODEL: ELECTROWEAK INTERACTION
