Abstract: (Elsevier)
The equilibrium properties of superstring theories at high densities are discussed. It is argued that the ideal gas approximation is good. For both type I and type II theories maximum temperatures are found. In the type II case there is also a maximum energy density for the stability of thermal equilibrium.- MODEL: STRING
