Critical phenomena associated with the dynamical breaking of the chiral symmetry are examined with the use of the Nambu and Jona-Lasinio model as a QCD-motivated effective lagrangian. We show that the precursory collective excitations to the symmetry breaking exist and argue that they may be observed in a N N reaction.
