CONSTRICTION OF COSMOLOGICAL BOUNDS ON NEUTRINO MASSES BY FLAVOR MIXING DECAYS

Abstract: (Elsevier)
If ν τ and τ μ are substantially more massive than ν e but decay into the lightest, the cosmological upper limit on m ν e becomes less than its preliminary determinations in the laboratory. If the laboratory measurements are confirmed, such decays must have negligible rates and the sum of the neutrino masses should conform to the canonical cosmological bounds.- NEUTRINO/TAU: DECAY
