Abstract: (Elsevier)
Neutron-proton total cross sections have been measured in the energy range from 120 MeV to 580 MeV in steps of 20 MeV. The transmission technique was applied in “good geometry”. Cyclohexane (C 6 H 12 ) was used as the absorber target together with a graphite absorber of corresponding thickness. The results agree extremely well with a recent measurement from LAMPF and disagree with older measurements above 200 MeV by up to 6%.- P N: INTERACTION
