Abstract: (Elsevier)
The hadronization transition in a quark-gluon plasma, formed in a central ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collision, is studied, assuming that the transition is first order. In the plasma surface the hadronization proceeds only through thermal emission of pions. Numerical solutions to the hydrodynamic equations for the evolution of the plasma in the central rapidity region, including effects of the phase transition, are presented.- NUCLEUS NUCLEUS: NUCLEAR REACTION
