Abstract: (Elsevier)
An optical model analysis of the differential cross sections for π + and π − elastic scattering from tritium and 3 He is carried out at 140, 180 and 220 MeV in order to study the violation of the charge symmetry due to Coulomb interactions. The results suggest the possibility that the backward-angle measurements of these cross sections may provide a sensitive test of charge-symmetry violation.- PI- LIGHT NUCLEUS: ELASTIC SCATTERING
