Abstract: (APS)
The equivalence of the thermal model and the conventional zero lifetime Hanbury-Brown/Twiss descriptions of the two-particle momentum-space correlation function is demonstrated. A simplified expression for the correlation function is presented and tested against recent composite particle correlation measurements. The expression allows a more direct analysis of the measurements and predicts novel behavior for certain interaction potentials.- 25.70.Np
