Abstract: (Elsevier)
The coexistence problem of the six-quark and two-nucleon components in the deuteron state is studied within a dynamical model based on the quark cluster theory. The mixing probability of the (0s) 6 six-quark configuration in the deuteron is estimated to be about 2.4%. The physical consequences of this large admixture and also the relation with the conventional deuteron picture are examined in detail.- DEUTERON: MODEL
