Abstract: (Springer)
The semi-classical homogeneous and isotropic cosmological models are discussed. The matter is represented by a quantized massive scalar field. Because the consistent solutions of the field equations show that the matter and the gravitational action are of the same order, the semi-classical approach is very questionable. In consequence, we present a model for the quantization of the conformal degree of freedom of the gravitational field together with a massive scalar matter field which is completely renormalizable if one includes a cosmological constant and a quartic self-interaction of the matter field.- COSMOLOGICAL MODEL
