Abstract: (Elsevier)
We study the explicit and dynamical breaking of chiral symmetry in the (2+1)-dimensional four-Fermi model. The model is renormalizable in the 1 N f expansion. We calculate the masses of the fermions and pseudo-Goldstone bosons in terms of the explicit breaking parameters. The bound “ σ meson” present in the chiral limit becomes a resonance.- MODEL: CHIRAL
