Abstract: (Elsevier)
We study the density behavior of topological chiral bags in a baryonic environment. Using a lattice and a Wigner-Seitz approach we are able to obtain information about the reliability of both schemes by comparing with experimental data. Having shown reasonable results for nuclear matter we apply both types of calculations to investigate the phase transition between nuclear matter and quark matter.- model: bag
- symmetry: chiral
- charge: topological
- approximation: lattice
- particle: Skyrme
- energy spectrum
- baryon: density
- nuclear matter: critical phenomena
- quark: matter
- pi: condensation
