Abstract: (Elsevier)
We study the problem of determining the couplings of Ising systems in terms of expectation values. We find that all previously known methods can be based on Schwinger-Dyson equations. Indeed, new methods can be derived with relative advantages with respect to all of them. Application for the renormalization group flow of the Ising model on a square lattice is presented.
