Abstract: (SISSA)
The AugerPrime upgrade of the Pierre Auger Observatoryconverts the existing surface detector, consisting of an array of1660 water-Cherenkov detectors (WCDs), into a multi-hybridinstrument. This upgrade required improved surface detectorelectronics and acquisition software to accommodate the newdetection channels corresponding to the scintillator surfacedetectors, radio detector antennas, and the underground muondetectors as well as the additional, small area photomultiplier inthe WCDs. In this work, we present an overview of the dataacquisition software, both at the level of individual detectorstations and the central data acquisition system. We highlight themodifications performed to handle the new multi-hybrid data ofAugerPrime and cope with surface detector stations with differenthardware configurations operating simultaneously in the array duringthe transition phase.- detector: surface
