Abstract: (APS)
We conducted measurements of reactions using a -beam, with the objective of understanding the broad decay width of (approximately twice as broad as that of considered to be the quasibound state). We successfully reproduced distributions of the invariant mass and momentum transfer for using model-fitting functions for formation and quasifree absorption () processes. The model can describe the experimental data quite well, and four cross sections were obtained. The results indicate that mesonic decay is the dominant decay branch of . The results also suggest that , which indicates that the absorption channel, in addition to the absorption channel, substantially contributes to the decay, making the state approximately twice as unstable as (1405).- width
