Abstract: (WSP)
We have used a quasi-deuteron model to calculate antinucleon annihilation cross sections on nuclei. Our model fits the existing data for different nuclei from 12C to 63Cu at pLab > 400 MeV/c. We have deduced that the interaction distance between the two nucleons participating in the annihilation process is about 0.8 fm; this small value indicates that the annihilation, at pLab > 400 MeV/c, could involve the incoming antinucleon and a six-quark bag.- ANTINUCLEON NUCLEUS: ANNIHILATION
