Abstract:
In this paper it is shown that at average values of the magnetic field different from zero a superconductor must break up not into two regions, viz. a superconducting and a non-superconducting one, but into a large number of alternating superconducting and non-superconducting layers. This circumstance provides an explanation for the existence of Peierls' intermediate state.References(0)
