Abstract: (APS)
The next heavy quark is likely to be found first at pp¯ colliders rather than at e+e− machines, in which case the expected signals from different kinds of candidate quark will be rather similar. We discuss the problem of distinguishing between the awaited top quark t, a possible fourth-generation charge -⅓ quark v, and an exotic isosinglet charge -⅓ quark h.- anti-p p: interaction
