Abstract: (IOP)
Exact solutions of the Einstein-Cotton equations of topologically massive gravity are shown to exist for spinning point sources when the spin and mass of the sources obey a critical relation predicted recently by Deser (1989). The solutions are shown to be multi-centre conical metrics identical to those describing point particles in three-dimensional Einstein gravity.
