We derive a Yukawa-type coupling for P-wave πN scattering in the Skyrme model. We show how, in the non-rigid gauge, higher order 1/ N c effects from the collective coordinates will generate pole term scattering which, when added to the background scattering, will reproduce the results of the Δ-isobar model at low energy.
