Abstract: (Elsevier)
We give an evaluation of the long distance dispersive contributions to the real part ( Δm D ) of the D 0 − D 0 mixing matrix element, by considering the ππ, KK, Kπ and Kη′ terms. We stress the role of final state interactions in the mixing and in D meson non-leptonic decays. We find Δm D ⋍−0.5×10 −13 GeV .
