Abstract: (Elsevier)
Statistics governs the superselection structure of local quantum field theory. The intrinsic information is encoded in Markov traces, which characterize equivalence classes of irreducible representations (sectors) as well as their composition rules. The Markov traces also provide a tool to classify (quantum) symmetries.- talk
