We study a (1+1)-dimensional supersymmetric model with Z(2) symmetry at finite temperature with a variational method. For this purpose we use the thermofield dynamics developed by Umezawa et al. and show that at any finite temperature supersymmetry is broken, and that Z(2) symmetry is restored for temperatures greater than a critical temperature T c .- supersymmetry
