Abstract: (Elsevier)
The spectrum of neutrinos from the sun contains large fluxes of monoenergetic neutrinos which could be observed in the next generation of solar neutrino detectors. Oscillations of solar neutrinos may be probed directly by looking for time varations in the terrestrial measurement of a monoenergetic neutrino flux. The phase of the time variations depends on the matter distribution near the surface of the sun, where the level crossing region lies. This phase is calculated using the analytical solution to the neutrino prepagation equation for an exponential density distribution.
