Abstract: (Elsevier)
We propose a new path integral formula for Yang-Mills theories, containing a gauge-fixing prescription expressed by a nonlocal gauge-fixing term, that takes into account the problem of Gribov copies. This formula is then elaborated in some natural approximation, leading to a more explicit expression. The latter implements Gribov's original idea of restricting the domain of integration in the FP formula to the first horizon and can be compared with similar expressions obtained within the stochastic quantization of gauge theories.- gauge field theory: Yang-Mills
