Abstract: (Elsevier)
General properties of the Landau gauge are discussed by means of a functional differential equation which holds to all orders of perturbation theory and which allows, in particular, to establish the nonrenormalization of the ghost field c as well as of the composite field Tr c 3 . The same equation also yields the finiteness of the three-dimensional Chern-Simons model.- gauge field theory: Yang-Mills
