Abstract: (Elsevier)
First-order phase transitions in the two-doublet electroweak theory are discussed, with reference to our recently proposed mechanism for electroweak baryogenisis. The simultaneous requirements of subduing sphaleron transitions after the electroweak phase transition and satisfying the current experimental lower bound on the Higgs mass do not place excessively severe constraints on the Higgs coupling constants. We also present results on quantities relevant to bubble wall propagation.
