Abstract: (Elsevier)
Using collective field theory we evaluate higher-point scattering amplitudes. We discuss in detail the one-loop self-energy correction and exhibit exact agreement with recent expressions of Moore. We discuss loop effects at finite temperature and compute the two-loop free energy. It exhibits an interesting structure pointing to the nature of higher string states in field theory.- field theory: string
